The 2013 ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place in England and Wales from 6 to 23 June 2013.

Australia would enter the tournament as the defending champions. They has won the tournament in 2009 when it was held in South Africa.

The eight teams playing in this tournament have been divided in two groups.

Group A Teams - Australia , England , New Zealand , Srilanka
Group B Teams - India , Pakistan , South Africa, West Indies

Each team play every other team in its group once. Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group progresses to the semi-finals, where the winner of Group A plays the runner up of Group B (in the 1st semi-final) and the winner of Group B plays the runner up of Group A (in the 2nd semi-final). The winners of the semi-finals contest the Final.
